A carnival costume: 1780 pierrot jacket



Some weeks ago I had the pleasure to dress up a ballerina who performed her dance to an event in Venice for Carnival.
In order to create my design I decided to take inspiration from 18th century. My task was to sew a classic ballerina ensemble with a tulle skirt combined with a bodice inspired to a 18th century pierrot jacket.

The dress is made of :ivory tulle, lace, light and dark blue taffeta, ivory satin, sequins and pearls of different shapes and colours.
