1860' ball dress

This is the ball dress I made for a friend of mine to be worn for a charity ball. It is made of dark aquamarine green taffeta trimmed with french lace and cotton dotted muslin. I based the pattern on the one explained in Janet Arnold's book "Patterns of fashion 2".

And here is its graceful owner attending the ball in her gown!

1867 corset

Recently I finished this little beauty. It is a corset to be worn under a late 1860' dress I sewn for a charity ball. The pattern is taken from la mode illustreè, "9 august 1867".

The corset is made of a pale green apple taffeta trimmed with valencienne lace and satin ribbon.
